ComicCon Kickstarter

Coast City Comics is trying to raise $10,000 for their second annual ComicCon in the wonderfully geeky city of Portland, Maine.

I donated ten of my little zombie jellyfish to the cause and they are going fast!

Want one of these little suckers to call your very own? Simply pledge $10 or more on the Kickstarter page HERE (The Jellyfish Ate My Brains Package)
Or check out some of the other fabulous prizes, there are some awesome ones (I heard Shia LaBeouf donated his expired driver's licence!)

Any and all support. donations, and pimpage is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Curious Little Bird

So last month I entered a giveaway to win a handmade monster of my choice from Curious Little Bird's shop.
Much to my surprise, I won! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
So I chose an adorable, one eyed owl that goes by Chaucer.

And we hit it off right away (he's quite the ladies man).

He even made friends with Chocolate Jesus (yes, that's the lambs name...)

But then he stole C.J.'s dinner...

After, he played on the old swing

Planted some seeds

And perched in a tree, because that's what owls do best.

I made the mistake of leaving him unattended in the kitchen, this was the result...

So I sobered him up and introduced him to my gang of coveted plushies (he fits right in!)
Ragdoll by Kate Pride
Dinosaur by Chocolate Popsicle

Thank you so much Curious Little Bird, he is absolutely perfect!

Make sure to swing by her shop to see even more amazing monsters and she is holding another give away on  her Facebook right now! What are you waiting for? Go check it out!

A quick update

This year has been full of ups and downs thus far. A good chunk of it I have spent sick, at work, and just all around grumpy.
But I have also been attempting to fill my free time with adventure

Been going hiking...

Got a new tattoo (his name is Jeffy)

Went to a rave...

Heck, I even went to a Snoop Dogg concert (and got the most amazing glasses to prove it)

So needless to say, between the work and the sickness, my life has been pretty exciting. I've also been sewing  tons of new goodies and adding them to my shop pretty regularly. Will be back soon with a whole mess of pictures of new plushies. But for now, I'm going to go play in the sunshine :)

The newest additions to the wonky family

I apologize in advance for this post being rather pic heavy.... I've just been itching to show off my most recent creations. Also, I am absolutely brain dead after a long day of feeding caffeine to all the Black Friday zombies, and can't think of anything more productive to do than to blog.

PUMPKIN!
He is addicted to anything sugary and loves listening to techno music.

Stanley
He's great for snuggling.

The new and improved Shadow Critter

Monster Bunny
He's mischievous.

Marcellus
He's a pretty big guy, about a foot and a half wide and a foot tall.
I even got a custom order for a much larger version, which I am really looking forward to making.

Supposed to be picking up a sewing machine sometime this week, so hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to use the dang thing (I can understand quantum mechanics, no problem, but the second I have to use anything mechanical, my brain turns to mush) and put a dent in the ever growing pile of custom orders.

But, for now, I am going to put on the biggest, warmest hoodie I have, curl up in front of my TV and pretend that I don't have to wake up at 6am for work tomorrow.

ComicCon

It has been a fantastic month here in Wonky Land! Why?
COAST CITY COMICCON, that's why!

I had so much fun! Will definitely be going again next year, as well as looking into more geek conventions (I think I would my target audience!)

Not to mention, I had a pretty kickass costume

I was a Wonky Critter! (in case you couldn't tell).
I wish it wasn't such a pain in the patootie to make, otherwise I'd start selling mittens and hats in my shop.

Will be updating quite a bit over the next couple of days, with new critter, silly pictures and info on the Black Friday-Cyber Monday sale in my shop! So stay tuned...
